Holy Cross Pre-School Nursery Ltd is a private (PVI) setting rated as 'Good', located in North Birmingham, within the Sutton Coldfield area. The setting was originally established as a Kids' Club but evolved into a nursery and kids' club in February 2014 to offer childcare and wrap around places to the local community. We are licensed to care for children aged 2 to 4 years old during nursery hours and up to 11 years of age during Kids' Club hours. Kids' Club is available for nursery children and children attending Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, with whom we share our site. Our operating hours are from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, during term time. The Nursery children are invited to attend school assemblies and productions, where they sit comfortably alongside all the other pupils in the school hall. The Head of the school consistently praises the children for their excellent behaviour in this communal space. Throughout the year, Nursery also participates in special masses, where they are warmly welcomed by Fr. Neil and complimented for their exemplary conduct.

Funding/Invoicing
Accessing funded hours
You can receive 15 to 30 hours of funded childcare weekly for 38 weeks a year during term time.
Holy Cross Preschool Nursery offers 15 or 30 hour funded places. You can split your entitlement between two providers but cannot exceed your total entitlement. Additional hours may be purchased if required.
Exclusions
Funded childcare does not cover costs for meals, consumables (e.g. nappies, wipes, sun cream), additional hours, or activities like trips, fees for these are charged.
Applying for working entitlement
You must apply to HMRC and set up a childcare account. You can apply for working entitlement and Tax-Free childcare simultaneously; the latter helps with your childcare expenses. The application usually takes 20 minutes, and you might learn your eligibility immediately, but it can take longer, so apply early.
You need to reconfirm your eligibility every three months to maintain access to 30 hours. Late reconfirmation may result in losing these hours for the next term. Check your childcare service account for reconfirmation dates.

Invoicing
Invoices for consumables, nursery fees, and Kids’ Club sessions are issued in advance of the half term, as payment is required before the term commences. For further details, please refer to our charging policy.
